Lambing Experiences

Experience the Joy of Lambing on Our Farm!

Join us for a unique and hands-on lambing experience at our 180-acre working family farm. Unlike the commercial tours you might see elsewhere, our experiences are small, personalised, and provide an exciting, educational, and authentic glimpse into the world of lambing.

Each lambing experience is relaxed and flexible, adapting to the natural rhythm of the farm.

Here’s what a typical visit might include:

  • Checking on the Pregnant Ewes: We’ll start by checking on the expectant ewes to see if any are ready to give birth. While we can't guarantee a birth during your visit (fingers crossed!), if a ewe does go into labor, you’ll have the chance to quietly observe and learn about the birthing process from Tamsyn, our skilled shepherdess and your guide.

  • Visiting the Nursery: Spend time in our nursery, meeting our adorable newborn lambs. Each lamb will be in its own pen with its mother, allowing them to bond and establish strong feeding routines.

  • Interacting with Orphan Lambs: Enjoy some quality cuddle time with our playful orphan lambs in the pet pen. These little ones love attention and will happily climb all over you!

  • Exploring the Fields: Depending on the day, we may also take a walk around the fields to see older lambs and ewes enjoying the fresh air and open pasture.

  • Helping with Farm Chores: Get involved in the daily tasks of lambing, such as bedding down pens, feeding the sheep, and topping up water troughs. Experience firsthand the joys and challenges of life on a farm during lambing season.

Lambing is an incredibly joyful and rewarding time on the farm, and we are thrilled to share this experience with you. However, it’s important to note that this is a real-life experience. While we do everything possible to ensure healthy births and happy lambs, nature can be unpredictable, and sometimes there are moments of sadness and loss.

At the end of your visit, you have the option to relax with a delicious homemade cream tea, enjoying stunning views over the farm (pre-order required).

Please Note: For safety reasons, please do not book this experience if you are pregnant, as close contact with pregnant sheep can pose a risk to your unborn baby.
